The sustainable lightness of innovative structures
Gianfranco Pauletto, owner of Tecnotubi, tells us about the company, active for 35 years in the production of metal profiles for various applications and undisputed quality.
Generational transitions, within a family business with a long hystory behind it, can be important moments of change and renewal, which aim to graft an innovation onto a consolidated tradition, capturing the best of both. "Tecnotubi as we know it today, was born in 1988, continuing for the past thirty-five years the path traced by my father, the founder Giovanni Pauletto, who at the time started the very first business in the 1950s - says Gianfranco Pauletto, today at the management of the company-. At first, Tecnotubi concetrated on the design furniture sector, producing iron articles for important national brands. Later, with the generationl change, he designed what was then the evolution of the new Tecnotubi. We wanted to summarize this renewal in the pay-off that was born in the spring of 2012: "Light ideas .. it is not thinking lightly but taking the weight off things". This is more than a slogan for us: it has become the real mission of our company, which over time has moved from traditional concepts and materials, such as iron, to advanced and eco-sustainable metals, such us aluminium, magnesium and titanium". A lightness that is therefore total: in the conception of innovative materials, in the quality of the products and in the approach to the company. "The interest aroused in our customers has allowed the evolution from an artisan reality to a modern industrial company projected towards the digital transition to Industry 4.0, now an essential system for those who want to do mechanics at an advanced level.. We have become a point of reference in the production of frames in advanced materials for various sectors, including first aid, hospitals, rehabilitation, design furniture, naval, railways, agricultural machinery, heating, motorsport and light aviation". A continuous innovation that does not stop. "We have combined the manufacturing of the structure of a product, i.e. the frame, with the design of a complex system that integrates very different technologies in terms of skills and processes. Indeed, Tecnotubi presents itself on a global market with an avant-garde structure and with co-design, planning, prototyping and product engineering departmens that allow it to support customers from idea to realization, through a process of development, testing and industrialization of products which, in addition to physical lightness, have a conceptual lightness, symbol of an era, like ours, in which attention to saving resources is central".
